2026 Perspectives in Psychiatry Symposium

You're invited to our second annual Perspectives in Psychiatry Symposium, hosted at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Come share and discuss new psychiatric research conducted by your fellow classmates, residents, fellows, and UTMB affiliates. Registration includes dinner, snacks, and door prize entries!

Registration

Registration is FREE for general admission and $10 for research presenters. Admission includes dinner, snacks, raffle tickets for door prizes, and more! Please use the link below for general admission only. Accepted poster presenters will be sent a separate link with their confirmation.

Schedule

3:30pm - Room opens for setup; snacks available
4:00pm - Poster judging begins
4:45pm - Judging ends; continued time for networking
5:00pm - Breakout sessions, oral presentations
5:30pm - Keynote and dinner
6:30pm - Awards ceremony

Call for Abstracts

We are accepting abstracts for posters and oral presentations from all students and faculty. Research related to mental health and/or psychiatry from any school or discipline at UTMB is encouraged for submission. Posters will be judged for Excellence in Research cash prizes of $100 (1st place), $50 (2nd place), and $25 (3rd place), per project.
